Biography: Fred Watson has been with Caskie & Frost since 1998. Before coming to Caskie & Frost, he worked for two years as a law clerk at the Supreme Court of Virginia. His areas of practice include business and commercial law, bankruptcy and creditors rights, information technology and internet law; nonprofit and charitable organizations, and estate planning.

Fred is 1993 graduate of the University of Virginia, where he received a B.A. in Government. He attended law school at the University of Richmond's T.C. Williams School of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the University of Richmond Law Review and placed second in the 1996 Walter Scott McNeill Legal Writing Competition.

In addition to his law practice, Fred is active in the Lynchburg community. Indeed, in recognition of his efforts to expand legal services to the poor, the Virginia Legal Aid Society/Lynchburg Bar Association awarded him their 2003 Pro Bono Award. He has served as the President of Kaleidoscope, Inc., a nonprofit organization that organizes the month-long Kaleidoscope festival celebrating the Lynchburg area community. He has also served on the board of directors of the PTA-PTO Thrift Shop, Inc., a nonprofit organization that raises money for the benefit of the Lynchburg City Schools. Fred is a former member of the Lynchburg Life Saving Crew.

Prior to attending college and law school, Fred served a three-year enlistment in the United States Army as a military policeman with the 2d Armored Division.
